As an Accounting Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial needs of our brewery clients. Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts Payable (AP) Processing

  • Process inbound invoices, receipts, and credit memos using Bill.com and QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments for brewery clients.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts payable records.

2. Bank Transaction Processing

  • Manage weekly transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) for multiple brewery clients.
  • Match transactions, enter payroll, and maintain bank and POS syncs.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

3. Monthly Close & Reconciliation

  • Assist in full monthly financial closes under the guidance of senior accountants.
  • Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
  • Prepare sales and excise tax filing documentation.

4. Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in weekly team meetings to share progress, insights, and solutions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to optimize workflows and enhance client services.
  • Provide feedback and contribute to company-wide initiatives.

5. Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain consistent communication with assigned brewery clients.
  • Ensure client financials are up to date and reports are delivered on time.
  • Offer proactive financial insights and guidance to clients where applicable.

 

Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Accounting Associate, Assistant, or Bookkeeper.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Previous experience processing AP using Bill.com or similar platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and software.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment.
  • Available and responsive during standard business hours (9 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday).
  • Strong and stable internet connection suitable for video calls.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing outsourced accounting engagements remotely.
  • Familiarity with financial software platforms like Ekos, Square, Toast, Gusto, Stripe.
