Job Overview
Glydways is hiring a Data Annotation Specialist to support its
machine learning perception systems. As part of this team, you will help
autonomous Glydcars "see" and understand their environment by annotating and
labeling image and video data.
Your work will directly contribute to the development of AI models that
power Glydways' self-driving vehicles, improving their ability to recognize
objects, obstacles, and surroundings.
This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with strong
problem-solving skills and a passion for AI and machine learning.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Annotation Specialist, you will:

Annotate & Label Image/Video Data

Use internal software tools to label and annotate images and videos for
machine learning purposes.

Apply bounding cuboids and metadata tags to objects in images/videos.

Review & Verify Machine Learning Outputs

Examine AI-generated results using visualization tools.

Cross-check engineers’ observations to ensure accurate annotations.
✅
Provide Quality Control & Feedback

Maintain high-quality data annotation standards.

Offer constructive feedback to annotation vendors and teammates to
improve workflow efficiency.
✅
Collaborate with AI & Machine Learning Engineers

Work closely with engineers and data scientists to optimize AI model
training.

Support problem-solving efforts related to machine learning
operations.
✅
Ensure Consistency & Adherence to Standards

Follow established guidelines for data labeling and annotation.

Maintain clear documentation of the annotation process.
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have Qualifications:
✔
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience.
✔
3+ years of experience in Data Operations supporting
Machine Learning Algorithms.
✔
Excellent communication & teamwork skills.
✔
Strong problem-solving abilities.
✔
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills:

Experience with AI Data Annotation Tools (e.g., CVAT, Labelbox,
Supervisely).
⭐
Background in Computer Vision or Machine Learning.
⭐
Knowledge of Bounding Boxes, Cuboids, and Segmentation Annotation.
⭐
Basic programming skills (Python, SQL) are a plus.
