Job Overview
We are currently seeking Linguists/Speech Data Verifiers with
idiomatic fluency in US English to support a short-term AI training
project. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing English speech
data, reviewing audio transcriptions, and ensuring the accuracy and quality
of machine-generated text annotations.
This role is critical in refining AI-driven speech recognition and
generation systems, ensuring they can interpret and produce natural, fluent,
and contextually accurate speech. If you have a background in linguistics,
phonetics, phonology, or speech pathology, this project offers a unique
opportunity to apply your expertise in a real-world AI development
setting.
Key Responsibilities

Audio Data Annotation & Verification – Listen to short audio
recordings and assess their accuracy based on pre-annotated labels and
transcriptions.

Speech Data Review & Correction – Modify, refine, and expand
AI-generated transcriptions to improve speech delivery accuracy, intonation,
and phonetic representation.

Phonetic & Linguistic Analysis – Apply linguistic knowledge,
phonetics, and phonology expertise to evaluate speech clarity,
pronunciation, and tone.

Error Identification & Refinement – Flag incorrect or unnatural
transcriptions, suggest improvements and enhance voice data quality.

Data Entry & Annotation Using Online Tools – Work with online
annotation platforms to label and correct speech data in accordance with
project guidelines.

Collaborating with AI Development Teams – Provide feedback on
AI-generated outputs to help improve speech recognition and synthesis
models.

Maintaining Accuracy & Consistency – Ensure that annotations and
modifications follow predefined guidelines, maintaining linguistic integrity
across the dataset.
Required Skills & Qualifications
